To help make your visit a pleasant one, we recommend the following:

-Children should be accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver and not left unattended while visiting the library

-Parents/adult caregivers are responsible for the safety and behavior of their children while in the library

-If staff members observe potentially unsafe situations, they will intervene when necessary

-In case of an emergency involving an unattended child or for any child remaining at the library after closing, the police will be notified and child placed in their custody

While we always strive to make the library a safe place, parents need to be mindful of their children's safety while visiting the library as they would in any other public building.
