-In-home day care providers

What do you need to receive a Educator Card?
Educators - Personal ID and proof of employment is letterhead signed by the principal stating that you are currently employed by the school.
Homeschool Educators - Personal ID and a copy of the letter they filed with their local superintendent.
In-home day care providers - Personal ID and state certification.

What can you check out with your Educator Card?
You may check out an educator collection with books selected for you by our children's librarians. Personal items may not be checked out on your teacher card.

Does the card expire?
Educator cards expire one year from the date of issue.

Can the card be renewed?
Cards are renewable with new school year identification.

Do you work in a daycare facility?
Please check with our Racing to Read service.

Educator cards are limited to 50 items per 28-day loan period. Educators may ask librarians to select up to 30 items with 10 specific titles for a teacher collection. Educators may personally select up to 20 additional items with the exception of holiday books. Only 5 holiday books may be checked out and are renewable. Requests may be made in person, by phone, by fax or online. If possible, please make requests at least two weeks in advance of the date needed.
