Run or walk 3.1 miles through Covington's historic and riverside neighborhoods then enjoy a free pancake breakfast from First Watch following the race. Participants receive a technical T-shirt (while supplies last) with their registration. Activities for the children including a Fun Run, face painting and awards. Event benefits the Library's early childhood literacy outreach program Racing to Read.
Fitness Walking (6 categories): 29/under, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70/over. Walkers must walk the entire course. Walkers who run may be disqualified.
Corporate challenge: team of four, score three. First and second place teams win awards.
Stroller: first place walker and runner receives award
Family: Any four members of a family can participate as a team. All team members are required to fill out individual entry forms and submit together in one envelope.
The relatively flat, 3.1 mile shaded course begins and ends at the Mary Ann Mongan Library in Covington and goes through historic Covington and by the river. Roads open to traffic at 10:15 a.m. View Course Map
First Place Male/Female Runners & Walkers: Overall first place male and female runners will each receive a $250 U.S. Bank VISA gift card and a six-month single membership to Better Bodies or Silverlake Recreation Center**. Walkers receive a $50 VISA gift card along with the six-month membership.
First place finishers in running and walking age division receive a $10 gift certificate to Bob Roncker’s Running Spot and a three-month single membership to Better Bodies or Silverlake Recreation Center.
Second place finishers in running and walking age division receive a 30-day single membership to Better Bodies or Silverlake Recreation Center** and a duffel bag.
Family: first place team in family division receives a three-month membership to Better Bodies or Silverlake Recreation Center** and Asics duffel bag. Second place receives a 30-day membership. Any four members of a family can participate as a team. All team members are required to fill out individual entry forms and submit together in one envelope.
Stroller division: first place walker and runner win a three-month family membership to Better Bodies or Silverlake Recreation Center** and KCPL backpack.
Corporate challenge: team of four, score three. First place winners receive 20 tickets to the Kentucky Speedway’s Kentucky 300 on Saturday, September 4. Second place team wins 8 Red’s tickets.
