Northern Kentucky Storytelling Festival
 
Laugh Out Loud @Your Library
 

The Kenton County Public Library invites you to Laugh Out Loud @ your Library when the Northern Kentucky Storytelling Festival, presented by Fischer Homes, takes on a new form for 2008. This year the Library and Fischer Homes are spreading the fun over three months with nationally-known comic storytellers at the Erlanger Branch. The series will include performances for families and kids of all ages and there will be a very special performance on Friday nights just for adults. Stand-up comedy fans and devotees of our famous Friday night programs will love our grown-up offering. Each teller brings new meaning to live performance with stories,music and comedy to tickle every funny bone.

February brings “quirky but brilliantly satirical” (Steve Jerrett,
KOPN-FM), comic musician Andy Offutt Irwin. Andy is new to the area but a veteran of storytelling festivals from Oregon to Alabama. Andy’s family show will be on Thursday and the adults-only show is Friday.

The Adult performances are appropriate for ages 18 and up.

   

Family Show:
Thursday, March 20 at 7 p.m.
Adult Show:
Friday, March 21 at 7 p.m.

March blows in with Bil Lepp, our first-year Festival favorite and five-time biggest liar in West Virginia. Family night is Thursday and the adults-only show is Friday.

The Adult performances are appropriate for ages 18 and up.

April features Grammy-winner Bill Harley in a Festival format to celebrate the end of National Library Week. Harley’s humorous and meaningful, serious and silly songs and stories are guaranteed to tame and the wildest of kids and make the grumpiest grownup grin with his unique, slightly wacky view of people and the world around him. After a Friday night adults-only show, four regional tellers will perform throughout the day Saturday with Bill as the headliner at 3 p.m.

The Adult performances are appropriate for ages 18 and up.
