Summer is a wonderful time of year for delicious seasonal treats, as well as a great time for exploring cooking as a hobby with the whole family.  Listed below are some of our fun, tasty, and FREE programs at the Kenton County Public Library this summer.

Erlanger Branch

*Erlanger’s Test Kitchen:

  • Steak 101: Thursday, June 25, 7pm

Learn how to prepare, marinate, season and grill it.

  • Kabobs: Thursday, July 23, 7pm

Learn the art of making kabobs and the variety of meats and veggies that can be used.

 

Artisan Ice Cream with the Colonel’s Creamery: June 23, 7pm

  • Sample and learn tips and tricks for making your own delicious ice cream!

 

*Taste of Kenton County: Thursday, August 27, 6pm

Enjoy food, a silent auction, raffle and much more at the Library Foundation’s fundraising event.

 

William E. Durr Branch

*Let’s Get Cooking!:

  • Quick and Simple Lunches: July 24, 1pm

Freshen up your lunch with some new ideas!

  • Simple Sides: August 21, 1pm

Make delicious mashed potatoes, green beans, and baked brussel sprouts.

 

*Cookie Recipe Exchange:  July 9, 5pm – 8pm

Trade recipes! Email your favorite holiday cookie recipe to brenda.clark@kentonlibrary.org by July 1.  Then stop by to enjoy some samples and sign up to receive an e-book of all the recipes submitted.
