The Pokémon franchise is 24 years old and not slowing down any time soon! This intergenerational phenomenon hit the shelves in 1995 and has evolved into more than your mom’s card game. As the release of Detective Pikachu approaches on May 10th, 2019  and PokemonGo users rise, don’t forget to head to your local library for more of your favorite Pocket Monster content.

Check out books, movies, and games all about your faves in the library, like Let’s Go Pikachu for the Nintendo Switch!

Can’t make it to the library? No worries, you can checkout books, soundtracks, and movies on the Hoopla app using your trusty library card!

Our library branches are Pokestops! Stop on by one of our branches to give our stops a twirl and while you’re at it pop on in to check out all we have to offer. Our libraries have dozens of spawn points.

Spend Saturday, April 27th with us for our second PokémonGo Egg-cellent Day program at 3:00 PM! Walk with us from the Erlanger Branch (PokeStop) to the Erlanger Baptist Church (Gym) to hatch eggs and find some Easter eggs along the way. The Erlanger Baptist Church will provide water and popcorn.

Pokémon are hiding at the Erlanger Branch library throughout the month of April. Can you catch ‘em all? Pick up a Library Pokedex to start your hunt. When you find all 8, return the pokedex to the Reference Desk to win a small prize and enter the raffle to win our grand prize, Pop! Bulbasaur! Three runners-up will win Pokemon Mega Construx! Our Pokemon are sneaky, and might hide in a new spot every Friday. Winners will be announced May 1.
