There are several opportunities to observe Veteran’s Day at the Kenton County Public Library.

 

Veterans Oral History Interviews*

Are you interested in adding your story to our Veterans Oral History Project? Staff from the Local History and Genealogy Department are available to conduct veteran’s oral history interviews.  Veterans are encouraged to bring medals, photographs, newspaper clippings, and other items related to their service to the interview. Veteran’s Yoga Project Yoga Class

Honor our nation’s veterans by attending this basic yoga class as part of the 6th Annual Veterans Yoga Project Gratitude Week.  This event is designed to call attention to trauma-related conditions and the power of yoga as a tool for healing.

It’s National Veterans Month! Each week, we’ll cover one aspect of researching your ancestors’ military history using Fold3 and NARA. These one-hour classes are designed for beginners.

Meet “On Desperate Ground” Author Hampton Sides

Meet Hampton Sides author of On Desperate Ground the story of one of the most harrowing clashes in American history, the Battle of Chosin Reservoir. The author event is co-sponsored by the Books by the Banks Book Festival. Books will be available for purchase and signing at the event.
