The Kenton County Public Library celebrates and recognizes the Centennial anniversary of the Disabled American Veterans organization in 2020.

DAV is a nationally recognized charity which provides a lifetime of support for veterans and their families.

The DAV was founded in Cincinnati by Captain Robert Marx, a World War I veteran.  He saw the immediate need for an organization to assist wounded war veterans.

The DAV lists September 25, 1920 as its official starting date.  Although many of its in person events were canceled, the DAV maintains and active presence online to tell its story and to serve its members.

The Disabled American Veterans organization is an important part of the Northern Kentucky community. In fact, its national headquarters are located in Campbell County.

Please join us in thanking the Disabled American Veterans for a century of support to veterans and their families.
