Joe Lacy (Lives in Ft. Mitchell, KY)
Lacy was raised by Appalachian grandparents and grew up in Lexington, Kentucky surrounded by basketball and basketball stars. Lacy is the author of the novel Mountain Reign and coauthored To Africa with Love: A Bush Doc’s Story, the biography of Dr. Jim Foulkes. His novel, Mountain Reign, is a fictionalized story of a high school basketball team in a 1950s Kentucky coal mining town. Lacy describes his novel as a “hoosier-like” and was inspired by Kentucky’s obsession with basketball. This inspirational novel has been well-received and Lacy is working on his next novel while living in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky.
