Broadway in Cincinnati is Back

As someone who loves theatre, I missed it over the last two years. Broadway in Cincinnati, opens a new window at the Aronoff Center, opens a new window never disappoints but Ain't Too Proud, The Life and Times of The Temptations, opens a new window, exceeded my expectations. It was a concert, and a history lesson rolled into one. Audience members couldn't help but dance in their seats. I was happy to find I can stream the soundtrack or borrow the CD (see list below to put items on hold) from the Kenton County Public Library, opens a new window. You can catch the show until March 27.

The all-new Broadway production Frozen, opens a new window is coming to the Aronoff in April. I have been lucky enough to see Disney's Lion King on Broadway. I'm not sure if Frozen can top that, but I'm sure it will be fantastic. I hope to take my 6-year-old granddaughter to this show b/c what 6-year-old doesn't love Frozen!?! The library has several books, movies and music related to Frozen (see list).

My favorite book of all time is To Kill A Mockingbird, opens a new window. I named my dog Scout Harper because of that book. I also love the movie. And now, I might get to see the Broadway play! It will be at the Aronoff from May 31-June 12. Please view the list below to check out this book, movie and related items.

I've seen Hairspray, opens a new window at the Aronoff before but would like to see it again. It's a really fun show with important messages. The show will kick off in late June. You can borrow the movie and the soundtrack from the library in the meantime.

Surprisingly I have never heard of the Grammy Award-winning show The Band's Visit, opens a new window. It kicks off July 19 and looks like it's worth checking out.

The season will close with Hamilton. I still haven't seen this show. Maybe this will be my year. In the meantime, the library has me covered.
