Enter to Win a Visa Gift Card & More

Summer Reading isn't over yet, so you still have time to earn guaranteed prizes and chances to win a Visa gift card.

We don't care how many books you've read or how much time you spent reading; we just want you to read something every day.

Why do we want you to read? Well since you asked... studies show that kids lose significant knowledge in reading and math over summer break, which tends to have a snowball effect as they experience subsequent skill loss each year. Children who did not read at all over the summer experienced a loss of reading skills equivalent to as much as an entire grade level. Parents reading in front of their children helps prevent the summer slide by modeling a positive reading habit and creating a culture of reading at home.

How do I participate? Another great question! Stop by any location to pick up a paper log. Just mark each day that you read. Or ditch the paper and use Beanstack, the reading tracker app. You can download it on your phone or access through our website at kentonlibrary.org/src. Forget to log a day? No problem! You can backtrack and log multiple days at a time.

Who can participate? The smart questions just keep coming! Anyone! Teens, children and adults. You do not have to live in Kenton County but you will need to pick your prizes up at a Kenton County Public Library branch.

What can I win? Yes! What everyone wants to know!

Bring the family to the library to claim your prizes and enjoy a day of playing in the air conditioning in our unique kids' areas, using the computers, enjoying a board game, creating something in the makerspace or attending a fun program. We even offer free lunch on certain days!
