      Something interesting about you? 

      • I was a nationally ranked competitive speed skater as a youngster. That experience was foundational for the discipline, courage, and confidence that defines me today.
      • Along with career coaching, gardening, and outdoor sports, I am a dog agility enthusiast in ‘active retirement’. Our rescued Australian Shepherd Gabby and I enjoy building our expertise, trust, and performance together as we navigate each challenging agility course.

      • I believe career transition is about preparation, self-awareness, research, and the courage to very intentionally ‘Transition Your Talent.'
      • I respect and value every aspect of the process.
      • Having coached 200+ people, what I find most enjoyable is the self-realization and sense of empowerment that individuals experience as they embrace and believe in the process. It is wonderful to see people discover their unique value add, build confidence, articulate their SOARS, showcase their brand, ‘equity network,’ and of course ‘nail the interview’.
      • I personally have the most fun negotiating job offers! But career transition starts with the individual who believes there can be a ‘next step’ - and takes it.

      • My wife and I have five children, nine grandchildren, and one more on the way and each makes my life such a joy! 
      • Retired after 28 years in education as a teacher, principal, and associate superintendent in public schools in Charleston, South Carolina; moved to Northern Kentucky and then taught in a parochial school for the next 16 years and loved every minute of it! 
      • As a way to give back to the teaching community that I so love, I wrote a book entitled Tips by Teachers for Teachers, which includes many wonderful teaching tips and stories that I learned from some of the greatest teachers I ever worked with. 
      • I'm a big Cincinnati Bengals fan.  Go Bengals! 😂

      • I believe teaching is one of the most wonderful and important jobs anyone can hold.  I enjoy helping others to see the joy in our profession and to help them find the position that is right for them, be it in public or parochial schools. 
      • I enjoy working with people to help them find, not just a job, but the job that is best for them in our schools. 
      • Once the job is secured, I also like hearing from teachers currently in the profession, their successes and challenges, and how I can help them to be the best teacher they can possibly be for their students and their school.

      • I am a certified executive coach. Prior to coaching, I worked in manufacturing for more than 30 years, starting as an engineer, and finishing my career as a corporate executive. During my career I lived in eight states and had the opportunity to travel the world working for U.S., French, Swiss, and Belgium based companies.
