Kenton County has so many great walking and hiking trails, you may not know where to begin, and the library is here to help! We also have many books that can show you how to get started hiking and help you find great trails. Make sure you check out the Kenton County Parks and Recreation page for all the great county parks. Pride Park

Pride Park has a paved one mile loop that is a great place to start your walking journey. Remember to save some energy for the end of the loop - it is an uphill battle!

Doe Run Lake

The trail around the lake is almost three miles. You will be crossing creeks and using bridges.
Accessibility: Doe Run Lake is a natural surface trail and is dog friendly.
Highland Cemetery Trails

The Highland Cemetery trails are a part of a Wildlife Enhancement Program. The trails cover 4 miles on 150 acres of undeveloped cemetery property.
Accessibility: The natural surface trails are dog friendly.
Devou Park
Devou Park has many trails for hiking and biking. If you are looking for a quick loop to get to know the park try the John Volz Nature Trail. Accessibility: This natural surface trail is dog friendly.
Morning View Heritage Area
Morning View Heritage Area is 224-acre property, owned and operated by the Kenton County Conservation District (KCCD) Choose your own adventure on one of their four trails with varying degrees of difficulty. Accessibility: There are no restrooms at this location and pets are not permitted. All trails are natural surface.
