The History and Genealogy Department are always adding new items to our online collections. They were VERY busy in September, adding a total of 36,602 new entries into GenKY
Here are some examples of what we added in September of 2025.
Kenton County State Highway Development Property Records - 1,076 Records Added
This collection features the records for acquired properties in Kenton County which were ultimately demolished to make way for various I-71/I-75 and I-275 developments. Included are appraisals, blueprints, maps, and pictures. Each property is divided into individual folders. The pictures can also be found in Kenton County Public Library’s Faces and Places database, with addresses.
Local History Files (Full Text) 31,959 records added
The Kenton County Public Library maintains a collection of local history vertical files detailing the history of the Northern Kentucky region. Local history files are grouped by subject and include the historical information on regional groups, people, places and events.
Scrapbooks and Photograph Albums 3,537 records added
