It's not every day a humpback whale visits Northern Kentucky.
On Monday, June 15, Nile, a 43-foot life-size inflatable humpback whale, will make a splash at Kenton County Public Library's Covington Branch. While Nile may not have swum all the way from the ocean, this giant whale is bringing an unforgettable adventure with him.

Visitors will have the chance to step inside the massive whale and discover what life is like beneath the waves. Along the way, they'll learn fascinating facts about humpback whales, explore the surprising ways whales and humans are alike and get an up-close look at real whale artifacts.
This hands-on experience combines science, discovery and plenty of wow moments for children and families. Guests can examine authentic whale artifacts, ask questions and create a fun whale-themed craft to take home.

And let's be honest. How often do you get to tell your friends you spent the afternoon inside a whale?
The experience is designed for children ages 5 and older, but younger visitors can still join the fun. While children under 5 won't be able to go inside Nile, they'll be able to admire the giant whale and participate in activities on the library's main floor.
Four identical sessions (10:00, 10:30, 11:00 and 11:30) will be offered, so participants only need to register for one. Because space is limited, guests registered for multiple sessions will be kept in their earliest session and removed from any additional registrations.
Whether your child dreams of becoming a marine biologist, loves animals or simply enjoys discovering something new, Nile's visit promises a whale-sized adventure right here in Covington.
