Thank you, Dolly.

Today, we join readers around the world in remembering Dolly Parton and the extraordinary legacy she leaves behind.

Dolly believed deeply in the power of books to change a child's life. Through her Imagination Library, her belief became something families could hold in their hands: a new book arriving in the mailbox every month.

Kenton County Public Library is proud to be part of that legacy. When KCPL joined the Imagination Library, Kenton County became the final piece in making the program available to children in every community across Kentucky. Since the program began, more than 4,000 children in Kenton County have been enrolled in the program.

Those books will keep arriving. Parents will keep reading them at bedtime. Children will keep asking, "Can we read it again?"

Thank you, Dolly, for believing that every child deserves books of their own. Your story will keep being told, one book at a time.
