Kenton County Public Library (KCPL) is excited to welcome Amanda Meeker as its new Career and Job Services Manager. With more than 20 years of experience in career development and higher education, Meeker brings a passion for helping people discover new opportunities, build professional skills and achieve their career goals.
Before joining KCPL, Meeker served as director of the Career and Experiential Education Center at Mount St. Joseph University. Her background also includes more than 15 years at Northern Kentucky University, where she held several positions in career services, including associate director.
"Whether someone is looking for their first job, advancing their career, considering a career change or returning to the workforce, having the right support can make all the difference," said Meeker. "I'm excited to help people discover new possibilities and take meaningful steps toward their goals."
Meeker earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Truman State University and a Master of Public Administration from Northern Kentucky University.
As Career and Job Services Manager, she will lead a team dedicated to helping Northern Kentucky residents succeed in today's job market. KCPL's nationally recognized Career and Job Services Division offers free career coaching, résumé assistance, interview preparation, professional development classes and networking opportunities.
"Amanda understands that career services are about more than helping people find jobs. They're about building confidence, opening doors and strengthening our community," said KCPL Executive Director Dr. Denise Fritsch. "Her experience and relationships throughout the region will be tremendous assets as we continue to fine-tune our services and contribute to workforce initiatives."
Meeker succeeds Fritsch, who previously led the division before becoming KCPL's executive director.
