The Kenton County Public Library is proud to support local authors. Recently, some very local authors came together to publish an anthology collection that has now been added to our catalog. The Erlanger Writers' Group released "Collections, opens a new window" in September.
The Erlanger Writers' Group program has been offered at the Erlanger Branch for over a decade. Writers from all genres and various points in their career meet twice a month to share their work, receive feedback and provide encouragement to one another. Whether you write fiction, nonfiction or poetry (or maybe even a hybrid of gernes), and whether you're working on your third book or just starting out, you're invited to join this group. All are welcome!
"Collections" is the first project of this nature for the Erlanger Writer's Group and KCPL is pleased to be able to give these wonderfully creative people the opportunity to share their work with the broader community. The anthology features a few previously published local authors, but many others who contributed now have their first official publication.
Want an absurdist sci-fi piece about a cactus? Coming-of-age poetry from a budding artist? "Collections" has both of those and more. Full of short stories, essays and poems, there's something for everyone to enjoy. With multiple works from 14 different writers, there's a lot for you to read and discover.
All proceeds and sales from the book will be donated to the Friends of the Kenton County Public Library, opens a new window – a suggestion brought up by the groups members as their way of giving back to the library that has become such an important place of support for them.

Waiting for your copy of "Collections" to arrive? Interested in reading more anthologies? Check out some of the other anthology and short story collections available in KCPL's catalog.
