The Fourth of July may last one day, but opportunities to explore American history continue throughout July at Kenton County Public Library.
Highlights include:
- The Spirit of '76: America Celebrates 250 Display throughout July at the Covington Branch, featuring an exhibit on Revolutionary War patriots from Kenton and Campbell counties created by students from St. Pius X and sponsored by the Rebecca Bryan Boone Chapter NSDAR.
- Storytime with George and Martha Washington on July 3 at Covington.
- America250 Speaker Series: DAR and the Declaration on July 16 at Covington, featuring a live reading of the Declaration of Independence and tips for researching Revolutionary War ancestors.
- Local history resources through the Faces & Places Historic Photograph Database, including a photograph from the country's 1976 bicentennial year
