Digital Discovery: Back to School

Summer is almost over and it’s time to shift back to school mode. Luckily, the library is here to help with that transition. Check out the following resources for tools and help with homework and research. 

  • Brainfuse     
    • Brainfuse provides live homework help every day from11am – 9 pm. You can interact with a tutor in a variety of subjects and for standardize test prep 
    • Take practice tests to build up skills 
    • Includes an adult learning center to help with the GED, US Citizenship test, Microsoft Office, and career building.  
  •  Encyclopedias and Dictionaries    
    • Check out several encyclopedias and research books to help with school projects and papers. 
  • Learning express     
    • A great source for test prep, skill building, and career resources. 
    • Provides resources for grades 4-8, high school, college, and adults.  
  • Teachables   
    • Easily searchable by grade level and topics, this resource provides worksheets and packets that will help children learn skills and expand their knowledge 
    • A great source for teachers, but parents can also use it at home with kids in preschool through 6th grade to build skills or provide extra practice in subjects. 
  • Check out homework help books in the collection   
  • Gale courses   
    • Maybe you are not going back to school but would like to learn a new skill or expand your interests. Check out Gale Courses and take free online classes. 
    • Featured subjects include accounting, business, computers, healthcare, language arts, writing, and more.
