Summer Reading is officially underway at Kenton County Public Library, and we're celebrating with a day of free family fun at Strike & Spare in Erlanger.
On June 8, KCPL cardholders are invited to kick off Summer Reading Detectives with a special event at Strike & Spare. It's a chance to enjoy a night out with family and friends while celebrating a summer filled with books, learning and adventure.

Present your library card to receive a wristband for one game of bowling and unlimited access to bumper cars, roller skating, Time Freak, virtual roller coaster and laser tag! Save time by signing up for a card at one of our branches in advance. Sign-ups also will be available on-site.
This year's Summer Reading theme, Summer Reading Detectives, invites readers of all ages to follow clues, uncover stories and solve mysteries through reading. From picture books and chapter books to biographies, cookbooks and bestsellers, every book can help crack the case.
The Strike & Spare kickoff is one of several special events planned throughout the summer. Participants can sign up for Summer Reading, track their progress and earn prizes while discovering everything the library has to offer.
As an added bonus, KCPL library cardholders can receive 10% off at Strike & Spare throughout the Summer Reading program by showing their library card. The discount is available through July 31.
Whether you're a lifelong reader or just getting started, Summer Reading has something for everyone. The program includes activities, events and reading challenges for children, teens and adults.
