The U.S. team's World Cup run may be over, but this summer's soccer fun doesn't have to end there.
On Thursday, July 9, the FC Cincinnati Street Team will join Kenton County Public Library for Depot Days! Soccer!, giving kids a chance to learn a few basics, get moving and enjoy a summer morning at Erlanger Railroad Depot Park.
Part of KCPL's popular summer Depot Days series, the free event combines literacy, recreation and community partnerships to create a memorable experience for families throughout June and July. At every session, children can enjoy lunch, hear a story and participate in activities centered around a different theme.

This week's program is soccer. The FC Cincinnati Street Team will lead interactive activities, introduce participants to the fundamentals of the game and encourage kids of all skill levels to join the fun.
Lunch begins at 10:30 a.m. (while supplies last). Children and teens ages 18 and younger receive lunch free of charge, and adults may purchase lunch for a small fee. The featured program begins at 11 a.m.
Depot Days is co-sponsored by the City of Erlanger and the Erlanger/Elsmere School District, helping make free, family-friendly activities available throughout the summer.
Families are also invited to support Be Concerned, the largest free-choice food pantry in Northern Kentucky, serving low-income residents in Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties, by bringing canned goods or other non-perishable food items to each Depot Days program. Donations are appreciated, but not required to attend.
If severe weather is expected, updates will be shared through Kenton County Public Library and City of Erlanger social media channels.
Whether your family loves soccer or is simply looking for a fun way to spend a summer morning together, Depot Days is a great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and discover something new!
