It's one of my favorite weeks of the year...Fat Bear Week!
Each year in Katmai National Park and Preserve brown bears gather to prepare for hibernation. Watch them feast on salmon on the explore.org bear cams. Learn about the bears and then vote for your favorite fat bear. From October 4-10, the public can vote for the bear who "best exemplifies fatness" in brown bears. Only one bear will be crowned Fat Bear Week champion.

Teachers can also have their classrooms join in on the fun with Fat Bear Week in the Classroom.
