Renovation Fact Sheet
Renovation Fact Booklet - June 2011
The Covington Library is over 35 years old and while it’s still
structurally sound, the majority of infrastructure needs to be improved or
replaced to bring it up to code. This includes the HVAC system, the roof, the
electrical system, elevator, stairwells that do not meet code and the
installation of a sprinkler system in the building.
Tips for visiting the Covington location during construction:
Use the Mid-Town Parking Garage located at the corner of Fifth and Scott.
Bring your parking ticket to be validated at the library during your visit for free parking.
The north ramp entrance to the library will be accessible during this phase of construction.
Computer use will be limited to two hours per day due to the temporary reduction of computers

Covington Meeting Rooms:
As of January 1, 2011, there will be no meeting rooms available for the public (or staff) to use due to upcoming construction and renovation of this facility. The project is slated to take up to 22 months and during that time we will be stressed for space. Our branches in Erlanger and Independence will be open and you can contact them if you wish to meet there.
When the project is completed, we will have more meeting space in varying sizes than we currently have and hope to be able to better serve the public.
